Port Tawny
We generally think of Tawny as our cozy, comfort wine. Wrapped in a soft blanket alongside a fire, the subtle spiced aromas of dried dates, toasted nuts and toffee are slightly sinful, especially when paired with a traditional Portuguese salted almond cake, or better still, a sharp flavorful cheese from the Azores Islands. And for those who love camping, consider this as your bonfire wine!
View MoreDouro Valley has probably the most savage and wild landscape in the world where still today men are struggling to tame the nature. To this day, in some vineyards donkeys and horses are used to help and only brave people are able to work in the vineyards on the steep slope. Marão Montemuro mountain range serves as a barrier to the rain, therefore Douro is one of the driest place in Europe. From this ferocious land comes our rich and complex Port Saint Clair.

Tasting notes | An exquisite tawny port, with a deep and voluptuous palate. A smooth, yet intense concentration of dried fruit such as figs and raisins, chocolate, toffee and orange, is lifted with a vigorous acidity that delivers the essential freshness on the long finish. Superb with all cheeses or egg-based desserts, or simply on its own. Serve slightly chilled. |
